Release Day Blitz + #Giveaway: RISE OF THE FAIRE-AMANTI by Raine Thomas

It’s launch day for Rise of the Faire-Amanti (Ascendant Series #3), and I’m is celebrating with a big giveaway! Read on for more details…

Book Blurb:

Stranded in the desolate Dark Lands, Kyr and Ty share a bittersweet reunion. Alametria lies on the brink of darkness. Their people are still reeling, believing she’s dead at Ty’s hands. With no other choice, many have turned to the Guardians and Advisor Vycor for guidance, never suspecting they’re being led to slaughter.

Kyr and Ty encounter overwhelming challenges in their fight to save their people: a deadly environment, murderous Marauders, and powerful protections preventing them from reaching the palace. When the journey itself could mean their deaths, the one thing that keeps them going is the thought of bringing VycorDane to justice.

Facing a battle on multiple fronts, lacking resources, and significantly outnumbered, Kyr and Ty must rely on each other in the race to save their planet. Will they beat the odds and restore peace to Alametria…or will Vycor’s evil destroy them all?

Turning so he faced Kyr, he lifted a gloved hand to her shoulder. Are you sure you want to do this?

She nodded, but he saw the rapid pulse in her neck belying her fear. They were both struggling to ignore the flight reflex pounding in their minds.

He considered walking to the storage bay and pulling out the sleeping pallets Gren had packed for their use, but he worried that taking even that much time would have them both abandoning this plan and giving in to the protections. Instead, he bent down and kissed her.

The feel and taste of Kyr shoved every other thought to the far corners of his mind. Although it had only been a few days since he last touched her like this, he felt like a starving man being offered a sumptuous buffet. Her soft lips eased open beneath his, begging him to deepen the kiss. He obliged, rubbing his tongue against hers as she tasted him just as thoroughly.

He ached to touch her. He broke away from her long enough to yank off his goggles and gloves. She hastily did the same. As if of one mind, they didn’t stop there, stripping out of their flight gear with quick, purposeful movements. When Ty was done, he helped Kyr remove the rest of her clothing. Then they came together in a mad rush, their mouths once again finding each other in a searing kiss.

Open your mind to me, Kyr thought. Only to me.

Yes. Only you.

He barely processed her demand over the raging need coursing through his body, but understood what she wanted. Since their first time joining here in the Dark Lands, he had learned that he had to keep a barrier between them when they made love. If he didn’t, they ran the risk of their joined power spiraling out of control like it had that time. On the more practical side, there was also the fact that if he allowed himself to feel everything she felt, their lovemaking would be over practically before it started.

Trust in us, she encouraged him as her hands ran along the muscles of his arms and chest.

Heedless of the consequences, he did as she asked, fully opening his mind to hers.

About the Author:

Demelza Carlton has always loved the ocean, but on her first snorkelling trip she found she was afraid of fish.

She has since swum with sea lions, sharks and sea cucumbers and stood on spray drenched cliffs over a seething sea as a seven-metre cyclonic swell surged in, shattering a shipwreck below.

Sensationalist spin? Hardly. She takes a camera with her to photograph such things to share later. She asserts that sharks are camera shy.

Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world.

Book Trailer Reveal: MEANT FOR HER by Raine Thomas

One week from today (on October 17th), my next New Adult contemporary romance Meant for Her will be launched on the world. To say I’m excited would be an enormous understatement!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the best professionals in the publishing industry on the design and marketing of this book, including Kelsey Kukal-Keeton, Regina Wamba, and Erin Kelly of Erin Kelly Productions. Today, I’m thrilled to share with you the culmination of their efforts…especially Erin’s! I present to you the book trailer for Meant for Her

Book Blurb

Photographer Sierra Stratton views the world through a lens all her own. She has an uncanny sense about people, something that often causes her trouble. When she meets the sexy and brooding Evan Dorsey, her intuition tells her he’s suffering, and she wants to be the one to help him.

Evan isn’t open to help from anyone, however. His focus is on his Major League career and making himself as marketable as possible for his upcoming free agency. He plans to ride out the season in Atlanta and then sign with another team, away from the painful memories that haunt him.

Someone’s eager to send him on his way, too. Between anonymous threats and equipment sabotage, it’s clear he’s earned himself an enemy along the way. To him, it’s one more sign that he’s right to move on.

But Sierra threatens his conviction. Her contagious smile proves hard to resist, as does her kiss. She tempts him in ways he never anticipated, making him question his plans for the first time. If he’s not careful, she might just convince him that he’s meant for her.

Her fall has just begun. Only his touch can save her from the shift that could destroy it all.

Within my blood runs a thing our kind calls the Shadowing Disease. It shadows over, and bends everything to its will. When the first blood- shift came, it tore through flesh and blood, threatening to bend me, break bone, shatter my mind and entrap my heart with its honeyed, seductive poison. It came with vicious intent, moving my thoughts and altering me forever. The shift has caused a rift within me. No one was safe when it entrapped me in its claws of foul lust. But I have the only antidote against the evil that becomes me – his touch alone has the power to release the spurs of sweet darkness that clung on for dear life. I knew what I had to do; the desperation pulled my mind with the deep determination of a hungry predator. By the time the revelation raised me from the dark dungeon of my bounds – it might have been too late.

Book Blurb:

“I’m looking out from inside the chaos. It must be a one-way mirror because no one seems to be able to see back inside to where I am. The looks on their faces, the judgment in their eyes, tells me everything I need to know. The most frustrating part about the whole messed up situation is that even though I’m the one that they stare at in shock, I am just as shocked as they are. I know no more than they do of why I lose control. What they don’t know is that I am more scared of myself than they could ever be.” ~ Tally Baker

After a devastating turn of events, seventeen year old Tally Baker is admitted to Mercy Psychiatric Facility where she is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. She has come to a place where she honestly believes that her life is over. Her mind tells her that she will never smile or laugh again, that she will never be normal again. It is in this unlikely place that she meets two people, different in every way, yet both critical to helping her realize that she has so much more living to do.

Candy, a cantankerous sixty year old Mercy Psychiatric patient, is hell bent on driving everyone as crazy as she is. Candy shows Tally that, regardless of her diagnosis, the ability to push on and live her life to the fullest is her choice and hers alone. In the midst of Tally’s oftentimes humorous, sometimes heart-wrenching, escapades with Candy, a new patient is admitted to Mercy—a Native American woman named Lolotea. Along with this new patient comes a daily visitor, her son, Trey Swift.

At first glance, it is obvious to Tally that he is incredibly handsome and unbelievably caring. But what she learns through her second glance, and many thereafter, is that there is much more to Trey than he ever lets on. It is during these daily visits that Trey and Tally build a friendship far deeper than either of them truly realize. With Trey, Tally feels for the first time since being admitted that someone is looking at her as a person and not as a disease. Trey begins to make it clear that he wants more than friendship, but she knows that she can never give him more. How can she, when she won’t even give him the truth?  Tally doesn’t tell Trey that she is a patient at Mercy, and she doesn’t ever plan to. Her plans go up in flames when she finds out that Trey is a new student at her school, the school where her brokenness was found out in the floor of the girl’s bathroom in a pool of her own blood.

Excerpt from Call Me Crazy

“I may be in a mental hospital, but I am not dense. So please, un-complicate it for me.”

This was not my plan for tonight and I fight the urge to stomp my foot and tell her how I was supposed to be curled up in a ball on my bed freaking out. But I won’t say that, not to Trey’s mother.

“I have bipolar disorder. Everyone knows it: my parents, my friends, the entire freaking school. The fact that I am in a mental hospital is the gossip of the century. People whisper around me and refuse to look me in the eyes, like at any second I’ll snap and start screaming that the voices won’t shut up.” I’m crying again and it pisses me off. I wipe my eyes, frantically trying to clear them, to remove the evidence of how badly all of it has hurt me, is still hurting me.

“Trey treated you normally.” Her voice is softer, gentler, and when I look at her through the wetness in my eyes, I see understanding in them, not the condemnation from minutes ago. “He saw you, not the disease.”

My knees shake with the effort to hold my body up and I reach to the wall for support.

“He loves you.”

It’s ELDER’s Launch Day!

Today is Elder‘s official book birthday! *tosses confetti* *pops the champagne cork*

First and foremost, I’ll let you know that the book is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble and will soon be available at Kobo. To purchase Elder on Amazon, click here. To purchase it on Barnes & Noble, click here. I can’t wait to hear what you think once you’ve had a chance to read it!

It’s hard to believe that the second Estilorian trilogy is coming to an end. After six books and a short story, I’ve grown so attached to these characters and their world. I won’t say this is the absolute end for the Estilorian series, but I will be moving on to other projects in 2013. So this is a bittersweet moment for me, I must admit!

With this being such a momentous book release, it deserves much fanfare and attention. Although I couldn’t get a host of swoon-worthy male models to pose for an Estilorian-inspired pic we could all drool over, I do have some amazing prizes to give away at the end of the Elder launch tour. Be sure to enter (Rafflecopter form below). I’d love for one of my fans to win!

I’d like to take a moment to thank these truly awesome authors and bloggers for participating in the tour. Please drop by their blogs and help support the Estilorians–you might win the giveaway in the process!

Welcome to my stop on the launch tour for Suzy Turner’s latest release, The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw.  I’m so excited about this book! The moment my time frees up so I can make headway on my to-read list, this one is right at the top.

Today I’m turning my blog over to Emma Jane Morgan, one of the characters in this intriguing story. Let’s find out what she has to say…then you can go and buy the book on Amazon and enter Suzy’s awesome giveaway (Rafflecopter below). Take it away, Emma!

Guest post by Emma Jane Morgan, The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw

Hey everyone, thanks for inviting me here today. Its kind of nice to get away from Andilyse Island for a while. Not that I can actually leave the island. At least being here with you allows me to make believe that I’m somewhere else.

I have a bit of a problem, you see. Well, more of a phobia. An intense phobia… of the water. Not just normal water. I can wash and stuff lol. But I can’t go in the sea or be stuck in a storm. Shudder. I feel so sick just thinking about it. My sister has a similar problem but her phobia is with heights. She can’t go anywhere near them.

We have this place on the island, it’s the coolest place ever, because on a really clear day (which isn’t very often) you can just about see the mainland. England, that is. But Lana has never been up there because it’s the highest point on the island. It’s called Carlton Point and it just terrifies her.

We’re quite a pair the two of us. Lana with her ridiculous fear of heights and me with my stupid fear of water. One of these days, I hope that they’ll just fade away and we can both just be happy, you know?

 – Emma Jane Morgan, Resident of Andilyse Island

The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw

Adopted sisters Lana Beth and Emma Jane are polar opposites, but when the same strange ‘tattoo’ suddenly appears and winds its way up their bodies within days of each other, they soon realise there’s more to their relationship than they could ever have imagined.

Sent off to London for two weeks of ‘work experience’, the Morgan Sisters soon find themselves being initiated into the ancient Praxos Foundation, one that protects the innocent while fighting evil, both human and supernatural.

At the same time, Lana Beth and Emma Jane must also investigate why the sweet but sometimes pesky ghost of Josiah Grimshaw just won’t leave them alone.

Check out the trailer!
